Meet The Artist

I am a sustainable designer and stylist based in kitchener-waterloo and I love to reimagine already existing pieces into something brand new, bold and fresh. All my pieces are upcycled or reworked from pre-existing fabrics whether that's from my thrifting adventures or community donations, I transform them into sustainable, eco-conscious fashion giving garments a second chance at life.

Fashion has always been a means of self expression to me and through my work, I am able to channel my creativity into crafting something truly special and one of a kind to make a statement against todays throw away culture.

The ABO Story

It all started back in 2020 when I decided to rework my oversized NIKE jersey into a two piece skirt set (I feel like we should insert a pic somewhere here??). This small project sparked not only what became my biggest passion but also a major creative outlet in my life. I love getting lost in the making of clothes and experimenting with unexpected elements making the pieces really feel special and one of a kind. When you wear ABO, you truly do stand out in any room you walk into.

Streetstyle and sportswear has always been a big inspiration for me in my designs and I love to find ways to elevate and add my own touch through unexpected pairings or what some might consider opposing aesthetics like denim and lace for example or sportswear with ruffles. I love an unexpected yet cohesive contrasting moment.

From the early days of Looks by Aby to what’s now ABO, one thing has never changed:

We don’t chase trends, we set them.

The ABO Mission

Our mission is to offer unique, eco-conscious designs that celebrate personal style while honouring our planet. We believe in the power of sustainability and are passionate about creating one of a kind pieces that stand against the tide of fast fashion.

By transforming forgotten and pre-existing fabrics, together we can help curb over consumption and challenge today's throw away culture. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see the beauty in what already exists. To embrace individuality, wear what feels true, and redefine fashion as something timeless, bold, and unapologetically personal. Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity (and maybe a pair of scissors) to turn “forgotten” into your new favorite piece.
